A notion that may have since come to pass.

Tesla Opens First Showroom in S’pore in Raffles City Featuring Tesla Model 3

According to a press release, Tesla has opened its first showroom in Singapore at Raffles City yesterday (30 July 2021).

Spanning roughly 143 square metres, the showroom is situated at level one within ONE Assembly, and will feature the grandiose Tesla Model 3.

For the Tesla laymen out there, Model 3 is a four-door sedan that’s touted to be the world’s first mass-market electric vehicle.

It has also been proclaimed to be a critical step in Tesla’s mission to fast track the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

Car buyers aren’t the only excited ones either, as it seems that the relevant authorities have also expressed keen interest.

Mr Steve Ng, general manager of Raffles City Singapore, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Tesla’s first Singapore showroom to Raffles City. Tesla has chosen Raffles City for its excellent accessibility in the heart of the city and having the Tesla’s brand adjacency amongst the mall’s premium lifestyle offerings. The addition of the highly-anticipated electric vehicle gallery is set to add further vibrancy to the retail mix of Raffles City and offer shoppers an unprecedented retail experience.”

Meanwhile, Mr Tarquin Yue, head of operations of BHG Singapore, has this to say:
