There are now less than 48 hours in 2020, and just when you thought we can end 2020 well, today happened.
As of 12pm today (30 December 2020), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 26 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
25 of them are imported cases who are on SHN since arriving in Singapore.
1 imported case is a pilot with Singapore Airlines who had tested negative for Covid-19 on return to Singapore but developed symptoms later.
The remaining case is a community case.
MOH will reveal more details about the cases tonight.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 58,569.
Based on yesterday’s figures, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with a total of 1 case in the past week who is currently unlinked.
113 Active Cases
There are currently 37 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit.
76 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
29 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
