If there’s one thing that most of us love finding out more about, it’s other people’s love lives.
Especially if it concerns celebrities.
On that note, it seems like the latest couple from Singapore’s entertainment industry has just emerged, as both members of the couple publicised their relationship yesterday (27 March).
And for those who still don’t know who I’m talking about, the lucky couple is…
Edwin Goh and Rachel Wan.
(And if you don’t know either of them, I really hate to break it to you, but you’re really old.)
The duo first met when they filmed Channel 8 drama Strike Gold, and I guess you could say that they both truly struck gold.
Here’s what the couple had to say in their Instagram announcements.
Goh: “You’re My Person”
In Goh’s Instagram post, he included a series of photos that featured him and Wan.
One of the photos also included the two of them holding hands.
In his caption, Goh, 28, wrote, “The universe brought us together in a way no one could expect.”
He then described Wan as someone who “understands [his] thoughts with a single glance” and “brings light to [his] darkest days”.
Apart from that, he wrote that he wants to make all his coffee runs with her and that she “[eats] as much cai fan as [he eats] chicken rice”.
Well, I guess that’s very important in a relationship in Singapore.
“[Wan is someone] who can be as silly as me. A person who inspires me. A person who sees my potential even when I don’t. A person that keeps the fire in me burning. A person that allows me to fully be myself and more,” he added.
“There’s so much you do for me, more than I could ever expect anyone to.
“You’re my person,” he concluded.
Aww.
Wan’s Instagram Post: “I finally found what I’ve been looking for”
Similarly, Wan also posted a few photos of the couple smiling at each other.
(And the camera.)
“This feeling’s like no other, I want you to know, that I’ve never had someone who knows me like you do. I finally found what I’ve been looking for,” she wrote in the caption.
Well, as many singles would say after seeing a happy couple, the highway seems pretty comfortable right now.
And here’s more about the happy couple, such as where you might have seen them.
As an actor who had his screen debut in 2009 when he was just 15, Goh first rose to fame after acting in On the Fringe in 2011.
Since then, he has gone on to act in various dramas such as My Star Bride, Home Again and When Duty Calls S2.
He is also a nominee for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes title at the upcoming Star Awards.
On the other hand, Wan is more well-known for her work in English shows, such as Channel 5 drama Kin and The Cheaters App.
She has also ventured into Chinese-language programmes in recent years and was featured in the Chinese variety show Say It Right! in 2021.
However, most of the younger generation might be more familiar with her work on YouTube as she used to be a former talent at Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) and was featured in their videos back then.
