Actress-host Phyllis Quek posted about her 50th birthday celebrations on 23 August, all while looking like she’s in her 20s.

50th Birthday

Phyllis posted pictures and videos of her birthday celebration, full of pink and gold balloons that proudly declares that she’s 50 this year.

“Today, I pray that God’s love and blessings for me will know no bounds,” captioned Phyllis. She added the hashtags “embrace your age” and “feeling loved”.

Looking at her youthful face, it’s hard to believe that she is half a decade old.

Filming Upcoming Channel 8 Drama

Phyllis first entered the entertainment scene after clinching second place in Star Search 1995. She was a full-time Mediacorp artist from 1995 to 2001, when she left the company and furthered her career in China and Taiwan.

The actress-host is currently being managed by Hype Records, and is currently filming the upcoming Channel 8 drama Soul Detective. She plays a kind, rich woman who is deeply devoted to her husband till drama occurs.

Additionally, she hosts a YouTube talk show series Careless Whispers, where she interviews local stars like Jack Neo in ASMR.

She also recently did an interview with The Straits Times, and shared how she takes 8km walks through Botanic Gardens and goes to the gym during the weekends. Phyllis also maintains her figure with healthy foods like quinoa and chicken breast, and regularly swims too.

And for all you kaypohs who want to know the deets on her love life: she is happily married to Australian businessman David Cox since 2012.

Comments: Look Just Like 21

Many people commented on her Instagram post to wish her a happy birthday, with many complimenting her for her youthful appearance.

Comments like “you look nothing like your age” were prevalent, and others also reminisced how they watched her shows while growing up.

Fellow artist Sora May also commented, saying that Phyllis looks like she’s 21 years old.
