Swifties, listen up (again).
Due to overwhelming response even before the ticket sales have started, Taylor Swift is now a Singapore PR and will be a full-time singer in the Esplanade, performing every weekday from 9am to 5pm.
Okay, I was kidding (I also hoped I wasn’t), but you get the gist: for some reason, after Coldplay’s record-breaking sales record, it appears that Singapore is now the hub for superstars in Southeast Asia (or Asia) to hold concerts, which SGAG sums it up nicely in a meme:
Because all of a sudden, even before demand for the tickets is confirmed, Taylor Swift is adding three more days to her Singapore concert next year.
Taylor Swift Adding 3 More Days to Her Singapore Concert Due to Overwhelming Response
In an announcement that shocked people who just got attached to UOB cardholders, it’s announced that three more dates would be added to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert in Singapore next year:
It’s due to “overwhelming response”.
The three additional dates will be 7, 8 and 9 March.
One can only wonder if she’d perform in a school instead; that would be even more epic.
This announcement came a day after people can register for a chance to get tickets when the General On-Sale opens on 7 July at 12pm. In other words, queuing up to queue up.
That’s such a cold play.
As of now, you can still register for the General-On Sale, which will end on 28 June, 12pm.
But you won’t need to if you’re an UOB cardmember.
We’re not going to ask people to apply as security guards in the National Stadium so that you can get paid to watch the concert for free, as it’s a secret hat we’d keep for ourselves.
Instead, you should apply for a UOB card, because you can skip the first queue (the registration for the General On-Sale).
As a UOB cardmember, you are entitled to a presale from 5 July, 12pm.
The General On-Sale will only start from 7 July, 12pm (which, as mentioned earlier, required a registration).
There are limited tickets for the UOB cardmembers presale, but let’s face it: there are also limited UOB cardmembers, which explains the sudden surge in applications for UOB debit and credit cards since the announcement of the concert.
UOB’s Head of Group Personal Financial Services Jacquelyn Tan mentioned that applications “surged very significantly” due to the announcement.
Now you know who’s the real winner.
