TVB Actress Gave Birth in M’sia & Had Allegedly Gone to M’sia On First Day of MCO

You may know TVB actress Vivien Yeo as many things: a former beauty queen, accomplished actress and the CEO of her own beauty company.

But what you may not know is that on 27 April 2020, the Malaysian-born beauty officially added another adulthood accomplishment to her ever-glittering resume:

The proud mum to one.

TVB Actress Gave Birth in M’sia

According to an Instagram post, popular TVB Actress Vivien Yeo has given birth in her home country Malaysia.

In the caption, the actress stated that she had chosen to deliver the baby via Caesarean section, and described her birth-giving experience during Malaysia’s ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO):

“The delivery was not easy, as there were many last-minute changes due to the pandemic and quarantine efforts in Malaysia. On top of that, my husband was not allowed in the delivery room as the hospital had to tighten up their protocols.”

She conveyed her joy at welcoming her healthy, 2.7kg baby girl and thanked the medical staff for their care and support.

She also wished the healthcare workers and frontliners everywhere success in the ongoing fight against Covid-19.

According to Yeo, the baby will bear the same initials as her: VY.

A life-winning combination, if you ask me.

Moved Back To Her Hometown

After the Covid-19 lockdown, Yeo, 35, reportedly moved back to Malaysia from Hong Kong.

She’s believed to have relocated on the first day of the MCO itself.

The birth of Yeo’s daughter came as a secret to even her own fans, who were caught off guard by the sudden revelation. It seems that the actress has kept her own pregnancy under wraps for months on end.

This wouldn’t be the first time the actress opted to keep her personal life private either. In early 2019, Yeo married her long-time boyfriend, businessman Yip Sai Yeung, 38

However, it was not until the media discovered about it in October that Yeo revealed details of her wedding.

The Malaysian born Chinese actress has starred in multiple TVB dramas, including the first instalment of Forensic Heroes (2006) and the ongoing series, Brutally Young. She emerged victorious at the 2003 Miss Astro Chinese International pageant as Miss Photogenic, Miss Elegance, Miss Fresh Look and Best Figure Award, before reaching the top five finalists in the Miss Chinese International Pageant in the following year.

And now that she’the proud mum to one…

It seems that her life’s set to become ever more glittering, whether it’s in terms of career prospects or life accomplishments.
