Unlike other clusters, it appears that the number of daily cases in the Jurong Fishery Port cluster has been rather consistent. Consistently high.

As of 12pm today (26 Jul), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 135 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

129 of them are community cases.

Of the 129 locally-transmitted cases, 28 are currently unlinked. 6 cases belong to the KTV cluster, while 61 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 64,314.

Based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has increased from 324 cases in the week before to 1,056 cases in the past week. We are likely to continue to see high number of cases in the coming days as we step up efforts to detect them to contain their spread in the community. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 24 cases in the week before to 136 cases in the past week.

The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 131.4 and 19.4 respectively.

Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre Cluster Closed

The two new clusters are linked to Cases 65893 and 65846, each of which has three infections.

It wasn’t all bad news, though. Three old clusters were closed as there have been no new infections linked to them for the past 28 days, or two incubation periods.

The three clusters are linked to the:

• 115 Bukit Merah View Market and Food Centre cluster
• 119 Bukit Merah View cluster
• Case 64394 cluster

Yes, after weeks of being our biggest active cluster with 94 infections, the Bukit Merah Market cluster has finally been closed.

Investigations by the Ministry of Health (MOH) revealed that the virus could have spread at the market through long queues and surfaces in toilets.

524 Cases in Hospitals; 7,130,781 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered

524 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 12 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 2 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU). None amongst these 14 cases is fully vaccinated. 7 seniors above 60 years, who are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, have fallen very ill.

In total, there are currently 25 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 792 infections.

As of 24 July 2021, we have administered a total of 7,130,781, doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme. The total number of doses administered was 7,130,781, covering 4,230,379 individuals. 3,020,766 individuals have completed the full vaccination regimen, consisting of 120,364 recovered persons who received at least one dose and 2,900,402 who received their second dose.

In addition, 82,422 doses of Sinovac vaccines were administered as of 24 July 2021, covering 67,743 individuals.
