The app features two daily ride offers and requests between home and work areas. The app will then match commuters by their commuting routes. These are defined by home and work areas of possible pick-up and drop-off locations.

Furthermore, the app offers a flexible and adjustable notification system that allows fine-tuning of notifications according to commute schedules.

Enhanced Ride Communication, Faster Rides, And Lower Costs

In addition, the app aims to enhance ride communication among drivers and riders who commute on the same route.

This means that users have the flexibility to either be a driver or a rider. They get to set their pick-up times and locations and even create ride offers or requests a few hours/days before their commute.

Not to mention, both drivers and riders get to reduce the cost of their commute on top of getting a faster ride between their homes and offices.

Sameride estimated that users who commute between Johor and Singapore will be able to reduce their cost of commute by up to 50 percent as compared to taxi services.

The app also kills many birds with one stone by aiming to reduce the traffic on causeways between Johor and Singapore, at the same time striving to ensure a faster ride and lower commute costs for its users.

If everyone uses Sameride to carpool, there will be fewer cars on the causeway trying to get to work. Fewer cars mean lower traffic, which means faster commuting time. This means that everyone’s time is saved, as well as the money used for commuting on taxis.
