This morning, two private buses were involved in an accident that led to one death.
The deceased is the driver of one of the buses.

1 Dead & 37 Injured in Bus Crash That Occurred in Joo Koon This Morning (1 April)
This afternoon, an image of an overturned bus surfaced on Facebook group 新加坡巴士司机社区Singapore Bus Drivers community.
Another bus was seen on the pavement, possibly due to a collision.
According to the captions, the accident occurred at the junction of Lok Yang Way and First Lok Yang Road at about 6:35am this morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that 37 people, not 38 as mentioned in the Facebook post, were sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and National University Hospital.
They added that a driver was trapped in the driver’s seat, and they freed him using hydraulic rescue equipment. However, he “was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.”
Police investigations are ongoing.

Last Bus Incident Involving So Many Casualties Happened at Bukit Batok Interchange
It’s uncommon to read such tragic stories in Singapore.
The last major bus accident occurred in Bukit Batok Interchange, when a collision between two Tower Transit buses injured 14 people.
The bus driver had been charged with causing grievous hurt to six victims by a negligent act, and also charged with causing hurt to another eight victims by a negligent act.
He has also been dismissed by Tower Transit.
