If you’ve been dreaming of delectable Taiwan street food but don’t have enough leave days to take, I’ve got you covered.

By the end of this month, you’ll be able to get Taiwan street food whenever you’d like.

(And it’s not because you’ve quit your job and become unemployed lah.)

From 28 July onwards, Taiwan street food fanatics will be able to feast on delectable Taiwanese dishes in Singapore, because the TaiWan Night Markets will be open at Cineleisure.

Spanning 8000 square feet, the market will include 19 street food kiosks and five mini restaurants.

And there’s no need to worry about seating space too, because the venue will be able to seat 300 diners at any point in time.

The market is opened by Fei Siong Group, which also owns other popular eateries like Encik Tan, Malaysia Boleh!, Let’s Eat! and Popeyes.

Must-Try Dishes at the Market

And here’s a list of dishes you don’t want to miss out on when you visit the market.

Night Market Huge Steak

If you’re looking to sink your teeth into some meat, the steak’s a must-try.

Served on a sizzling hot plate with side dishes like egg and vegetables, get ready to let the juicy, succulent meat melt in your mouth.

The dish is also served in a bowl of soup with puff pastry, also known as a “Lion Head Bowl”.

Peanut Roll Ice Cream

And if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, the peanut roll ice cream’s definitely the dessert you should get.

The dessert comprises ice cream and crunchy peanut toppings wrapped in a chewy pancake.

But that’s not all.

Cilantro is added to the dish too.

The peanut roll ice cream stall at the TaiWan Night Markets will offer four ice cream flavours: Taro, Durian, Vanilla and Mango.

So there’s definitely something for everyone. (Except for cilantro haters.)

Salty Crispy Chicken

If you don’t get this snack whenever you visit a night market in Taiwan, can anyone really trust you?

At the TaiWan Night Market, you can get one of Taiwan’s most popular street foods: fried chicken.

The chicken, apart from being crispy and well-seasoned, will also have garnishes like Sichuan peppercorn salt or chilli powder for that extra kick.

Super Nutritious Sandwich

Yes, you can go to the market with your friends even if you’re on a diet.

With a variety of toppings like braised eggs, cucumbers and more, there’s bound to be a topping combination for everyone.

The sandwiches are also coated with a golden egg wash to enhance the fragrance and texture; a special sauce is also used to ensure that every bite you take is delectable.

Taiwanese QQ Potato Balls

Again, another staple when visiting Taiwan (or the pasar malam).

With their crunchy exterior and soft, pillowy interior, what’s there not to like?

Additionally, the potato balls stall will allow patrons to see their food being prepared in front of them, just like in the actual Taiwan night markets.

Toppings like plum powder, pepper powder, peanut powder and even chocolate powder are available.

Sanchong Braised Rice

Of course, no Taiwan night market trip is complete without lu rou fan (braised pork rice).

Which is why you can get it at this night market too.

Boasting the flavour profiles of five different braised pork rice eateries in Taiwan, the version of lu rou fan served at the TaiWan Night Markets will also be cooked with Taiwanese rice.

From 19 to 27 July, TaiWan Night Markets will be holding its soft launch event.

The event will invite 1,500 customers to have food at the market before its official opening.

Patrons who are selected for the soft launch event will also enjoy a 50% discount on their second food item.

For online registration, you may visit their Instagram between now to 16 July, 11.59 pm, to register your interest.

As for physical registration, the first 50 customers in line every day during the soft launch period from 6 pm onwards will be allowed entry.
