The measures for the Circuit Breaker period are clear: have your meals at home or in your workplace if you’re working in an essential business.

At no point should you be consuming your food outside of these two premises.

But one man decided to test the system, and he got what he deserved: he had his meal most probably in a police station instead.

Man Die-Die Want to Eat His Food at Void Deck & Was Arrested by The Police

A video of a man arguing with two police officers while holding on to a pack of food has gone viral today.

No one knows what happened until now.

It turns out that the man, a 71-year-old, was at Block 28 Bendemeer Road this morning at about 11:40am.

According to SPF, police officers who were on patrol spotted a group of elderly gathering at two tables at the void deck.

The officers then advised them to go home since gathering isn’t allowed during this period, and the group left.

End of story?

No.

Despite the officers’ presence, the 71-year-old then appeared with his pack of food.

He must be super hungry or the food must be super goody because instead of heading home to eat, the man wanted to have his early lunch at the one of tables.

And so, the police officers, who are trained to fight criminals but now have to advise people not to anyhowly makan, approached him and asked him to go home instead.

The man took his pack of food and go home…not.

Instead, he “refused to heed the police officers’ advice and shouted at them. He remained uncooperative despite officers’ repeated advice for him to calm down and leave the place.”

Which led to the video, of course.

One thing to note is that the man wasn’t arrested for breaking the Circuit Breaker rules; instead, he was arrested for disorderly behaviour.

Police investigations are still ongoing.

The men and women in blue also have an advice to others who die-die want to gather together to have a meal: “Members of the public are advised to take the circuit breaker measures seriously.

“Everyone should stay home and only go out for essential activities. Everyone must play their part for the circuit breaker to be effective.”

Poor officers; they signed on to fight crimes and now they’re fighting people who wanted to eat at the void deck.
