Drinks manufacturer, Fraser & Neave (F&N) has partnered up with the National Environment Agency (NEA) to encourage Singaporeans to recycle in exchange for vouchers!

How neat is that?

50 Smart Vending Machines Across Singapore 

The following movement was announced on Thursday, 31 October. The two organisations will be installing 50 smart vending machines islandwide at heartland areas near NTUC FairPrice outlets.

The initiative is said to encourage locals to recycle their used plastic bottles and aluminium cans.

Pretty obvious, right?

According to CNA, the machines, referred to as Recycle N Save Machines, will be going out $0.20 Fairprice cash coupons for every four empty drink packagings that are deposited into it.

That’s right! Keep a hold on those and don’t dispose of them just yet because you might just be throwing out FairPrice vouchers.

Here’s How it Works

Firstly, ensure that your bottles or cans are empty before depositing it ‘bottoms up’ into the machine. That’s all there is to it.

It’s fool-proof and simple! After you’ve finished depositing your bag of goods, you print the coupons out of the machine and ta-dah!

The discount coupons are usable at all Cheers, FairPrice, and FairPrice Xpress outlets islandwide!

You’d be glad to know that 10 out of the 50 vending machines have already been set-up.
