During the Circuit Breaker / Phase One period, there are three types of people:

  1. The ones like you and me who follow the law to the T because we don’t want to appear in a Goody Feed article (you might want to download our app lest you appear without you knowing)
  2. The ones who disregard the rules secretly and have not been caught (yet)
  3. The ones who disregard the rules, got called out and got caught

Two days ago, a group of people upgraded from #2 to #3.

People Secretly Drank & Laugh in a Golden Mile Tower Shop; Police Called in to Raid It

According to Wanbao, a group of people have been gathering in a shop in Golden Mile Tower in recent days.

Unless you still live in 2019, you should know that all non-essential shops must stay closed even during Phase One.

While it can’t be confirmed, it appears that the shop is a shop + office that distributes and sells smartphone casing, so it’s certainly not essential.

And it definitely can’t be a place for people to gather and drink like a pub.

Women in skimpy dresses have been spotted entering and leaving the shop. Maybe they really need some new phone casings lah I don’t know.

But other than that, people have allegedly been gathering and drinking in the shop.

How do people know, you ask.

Because the shop isn’t soundproof.

Someone Sabo & Police Came in Fast & Furious

On 11 June 2020, someone decided that enough is enough, so the person called the cops on them as he or she could hear people laughing within the shop.

At least five police cars went to the premises.

In a voice recording retrieved by Singapore Uncensored, a guy was heard saying in Hokkien, “Wah, seven police cars to arrest the women. It’s the My Friend KTV. They tried to open secretly. They’re busted.”

It’s unknown if he thought that the KTV has secretly opened, or that the KTV has used the shop to operate. Nevertheless, there is indeed a KTV called My Friend’s KTV Pub in Golden Mile Tower, though no one can know for certain if they’re indeed involved.

An eyewitness told Wanbao that 4 women and 8 men were then interviewed by the police.

Moral of the story?

Be #1, because if you’re #2, you’ll soon be #3.
