Some of the greatest people go too soon, and one of such people is a 19-year-old Sarawak swimmer called Ayrton Lim who was found dead at home yesterday (24 October).
The 19-year-old swimmer represented Sarawak at the recent Malaysia Games and had just gone back home after spending some time training in Singapore.
The swimmer lived in Tabuan Laru. Unfortunately, Malaysia Bernama reported that the 19-year-old was found unconscious by his mother at 12.30pm.
By the time the medical officers had arrived, he was already dead.
As there was nothing suspicious and no criminal elements found in this case, the police of the Kuching District decided to classify his death as sudden death.
It was later reported by Ayrton’s mother that he was in “a state of depression” in the days just before his death.
Before passing, Ayrton posted a message via an Instastory that said “It has been a wonderful 19 years and I’m grateful if you’re part of it”.
In the picture, he also added a smiley face and an orange heart, and a thank you at the bottom of the picture.
Our deepest condolences go out to Ayrton Lim’s family and friends and we hope that they will find peace.
