3 Young Adults Volunteered to Help Woman Change Punctured Tyre in the Rain

Getting into an accident, or having a punctured tyre, is a stressful experience; other than wondering how much it’d cost you, you’d have to cancel all your plans for the day.

It’s even worse when it occurred during a rain.

But like what this Facebook user said, you can have “angry and heartwarming moments at the same time.”

3 Young Adults Volunteered to Help Woman Change Punctured Tire in the Rain

According to a post, the Facebook user, whom we should call Ms Thankful, was driving along SLE in the rain at around 11:30pm when her car had a punctured tyre.

As she didn’t know how to change the tyre, she called for a tow truck and had a bad experience corresponding with the person on the other end, who even asked for her insurance policy number (which no one would’ve known unless the certificate was in the car).

She then wanted to pay for the tow truck but once again, she was told to wait again.

By the way, when you’re a flat tyre, a tow truck won’t tow the car away, but the staff will bring along a spare tyre lest your car doesn’t have one, and he’ll change the tyre on the spot. If you don’t have a spare tyre, you’d have to buy the one from the tow truck, of course.

While waiting, three young adults appeared out of nowhere and asked if she needed help.

It turned out that a few other cars had punctured tyres along the stretch of road as well, and they, too, were changing their tyres.

It’s unknown what could’ve caused so many car tyres to puncture there. According to a follow-up comment, Ms Thankful said there were around 6 cars on the shoulder.

Ms Thankful accepted their help and they just got Ms Thankful to stay in the car with her child while they completed the change within 10 minutes.

They then went off without asking for anything.

Lest you can’t read:

Had an interesting episode last night with angry and heartwarming moments at the same time.

I was with my boy, driving back home on SLE at around 11.30pm when I suddenly heard a loud ‘pop’ and my car began to slow down. I stopped to check and indeed it was the tire. I had no idea how to change tire and unfortunately hubby wasn’t with me so only option was to call for tow truck.

This is where the angry part starts – I called the insurer hotline and after taking down my car plate no., the lady told me she would call me back. 20 min passed and nothing happened. I called back and the same lady told me that she couldn’t find my renewed insurance policy as their system was down. She then went on to ask me if I could remember my insurance policy number for her to proceed further. I was speechless!!! I mean who on earth would remember policy numbers! She then went on to explain the claim process if I didn’t have the policy etc etc..

At this point, my boy who overheard the conversation (I had placed the call on speaker) burst out into tears, crying out loud as he thought we would not be able to go home and we would be caught in a flood (it was pouring). I raised my voice at the lady for the tow truck to be arranged and that I would pay first which she again asked me to wait and would call me back shortly. By then, it was already past midnight. I went to comfort my boy and then a couple minutes later, I saw 3 young men walking in the rain towards our car.

A 34YO “old-virgin” S’porean was desperately looking for a boyfriend and surprisingly, she really found one online. But the intentions of the man will make you cry. Prepare tissue paper to watch this video based on real events:

This is where the heartwarming part begins – one of them knocked on my car door, asked if I am getting help and offered to help if I had a spare tire in the car. Turns out that their car, along with a few others along that stretch had their tires busted as well. So after attending to their own car, they walked along the road to extend help to other car owners. The rain was getting really heavy and they were soaked so I was inclined to ask the 3 young chaps to just go home. However at that point I was still not getting response from the insurer so I decided to accept their help.

Without any questions, they immediately did what they needed to do like a pro. I stood around them to make sure they were ok but they kindly nudged me to go back into the car seeing that my boy was still a little traumatised. They did everything swiftly within 10 min and before they left, one of them even reminded me to drive slowly. I shook their hands and thank each of them before we parted. I was so relieved when my boy and I could finally continue our way home. My bad for not asking for their names and I only managed to capture this picture of them as they walked back to their car which was around 200 metres away.

If they do see this message, I just want to again say ‘Thank you so much for going out of your way to help us. You have been blessed with kind hearts and I wish the 3 of you well and happy’.

That night I told my boy to be thankful for what we experienced and I know that in future whenever I am educating my boy about kindness, he will be reminded of the ‘3 gor gor in the rain’.
