The headline is no longer shocking, isn’t it?
Today is the highest figure reported so far, on par with what was reported on 18 March 2020.
Here’s today’s announcement.
47 New COVID-19 Cases in S’pore Today: Total Cases Have Hit More Than 400
A total of 47 cases were reported today.
39 of them were imported, with 33 of them being returning Singapore residents (i.e. Singaporeans, Singapore PRs or long-term pass holders). The other 6 were short-term visitors (most probably tourists).
2 imported cases aren’t warded in public hospitals but private hospitals instead: a 22-year-old female Indonesian who is on a short-term pass is warded in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital while a 77-year-old male Indonesian, who has a long-term pass, is warded in Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
16 of them have been to the UK. There is, however, one case with a pending travel history; he’s a 25-year-old male Spain national.
Of the remaining 8 local cases, 2 are linked to previously confirmed cases. 6 of them currently have no established links yet.
