Christmas is approaching fast and if you’re still looking for a place to celebrate Christmas, look no further because we have compiled a list of places and events that you and your loved ones can head to celebrate the festive season.
It’s always difficult to find a good place to celebrate Christmas because there are so many pretty places to choose from but so crowded at the same time.
1. Christmas Wonderland, Gardens By The Bay
It is the fourth year that the Christmas Wonderland is taking place in Singapore, and this year, they return once again with a spectacular feature of fixtures and light sculptures that are bound to make any Christmas special.
Pose for aesthetic photos at their photo booths and all the decorations around.
You can also watch the inaugural parade which features three floats with Santa, Santarinas, dancing elves, penguins and snowmen!
You’ll also have a fun time playing their carnival games.
So surround yourself with the beautiful lights and have a fun time with your loved ones at the Christmas Wonderland!
Admission: $8 (online) / $10 (on-site)
When: Now till 26 December 2019
2. Poinsettia Wishes, Gardens By The Bay
If you can’t travel overseas this year to experience a true White Christmas, don’t be too upset about it.
Head down to Gardens By The Bay’s Flower Dome and you’ll still be able to enjoy yourselves a Nordic Christmas as you marvel at the sights of all the five different Nordic countries. Journey through the iconic landmarks of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden and take in the beautiful scenery of poinsettia plants.
It’s said that there are over 30 different kinds of poinsettia plants to look at!
The temperature in the Flower Dome is also considered to be quite cooling which is a stark contrast to what you would usually experience here in tropical Singapore. Thus, the cold atmosphere will help you feel as if you’re really in those Nordic countries!
Admission: $12 – $28
When: Now till 6 January 2020
3. Island Lights, Sentosa
Not sure where to go but still want an interesting experience? Head down to Sentosa Island because they’ve set up a whole bunch of Instagram-worthy art fixtures for you to take photos so that you can update your Instagram.
There’s a 13.5-metre-long space for you to walk through and as you make your way towards the end of it, you’ll find yourself surrounded by illuminated fixtures that are of different vibrant colours.
Get ready to immerse yourself in a multi-sensory experience when you go for their LedsControl’s ShadowDial.

6. There’s No Place Like Home
Instead of heading out and celebrating Christmas like everyone else, why not make it a little special and celebrate it at home with your loved ones instead?
That way, you won’t have to worry about the insane crowds that are bound to be everywhere. Plus, there might even be traffic jams as you try to make your way back home after the event.
It would be fun to get your very own little Christmas tree and decorate it together by hanging ornaments and putting fairy lights on it. Super heartwarming and even romantic!
As the clock approaches midnight, you can gather around the tree and sing Christmas carols before exchanging gifts.
Honestly, it probably doesn’t matter where you celebrate Christmas as long as you’re with the ones who matter the most.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
