7-Eleven Now Has New Korean RTE Meals & Banana Latte

With new limited edition banana-flavoured drinks and scrumptious Korean Ready-to-Eat (RTE) meals, enjoy the Korean culinary experience at a fraction of the price it takes to fly there for your fix of Kimchi Jjigae. 

The New Dishes

Fight fire with fire and beat the scorching heat with the 7-SELECT Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup) (U.P. $5.50). With a delicious chicken thigh broth infused with sticky rice, jujube, American ginseng and paired with short grain rice, this dish is perfect for warm afternoons.

Gilgeori Toast (Korean Street Toast) Sandwich (U.P. $3.60) is a toasted sandwich with an onion omelette and ham, along with a thick handful of shredded cabbage doused in sauce and dressing.

The Yangnyeom Chicken Wrap (U.P. $3.60), is fried chicken with sweet and sour Yangnyeom sauce, sealed in a tortilla accompanied with the crunch of purple cabbage.

The Chicken Bulgogi Onigiri (U.P. $2) contains is a rice ball containing various chunks of roasted chicken marinated with Korean gochujang sauce, best for a quick snack between meals or to-go. 

Old Favourites 

Along with the new products, last year’s top-selling trio is making a comeback as well. 

The Korean Jajangmyeon (U.P. $4.20), too, is coming back – with its iconic savoury black bean sauce and thick noodles topped with spring onions, you can now satiate your cravings by grabbing it at your nearest 7-Eleven.

The Kimchi Jjigae (U.P. $5.20) is a gochujang stew that burns, featuring kimchi and tofu bubbling in a chicken broth. The perfect comfort food when you’re craving something sweet, sour, and spicy all at once. 

Korean Spicy Rice Cakes (U.P. $3.20) are a recreation of the Korean street food tteokbokki – rice cakes with gochujang sauce. If you purchase the Samgyetang, Gilgeori Toast Sandwich or Yangnyeom Chicken Wrap from 1 Apr to 26 Apr 2022, you can get 50 cents off the rice cakes.

Taste Asia’s Korean-inspired dishes complete the new menu – take your pick from Taste Asia Korean Style Abalone Porridge (U.P.$3.20), Taste Asia Korean Spicy Chicken Stew with Rice (U.P.$4.80) and Taste Asia Cheesy Ramen with Grilled Gochujang Chicken (U.P.$4.80).

Banana~

7CAFE (you know, the coffee dispenser on top of the freezer with lots of cups of crushed ice) also now boasts banana-flavoured drinks. The Banana Latte comes in both hot ($2.70) and iced ($3.50).
