M’sia Raja Bomoh Back Again, This Time to Fight COVID-19 With Video

When a deadly virus has infected over 245,000 people and killed more than 10,000 across 182 countries and territories, what can you possibly do to stop the rampant pandemic?

Practise social distancing and stay at home? Sure.

Hope that scientists will develop a vaccine? Maybe.

But the most effective solution would clearly be to employ the skills of a shaman who once tried to locate the missing MH370 Malaysian Airlines flight by using coconuts.

You probably first heard about Raja Bomoh a.k.a Ibrahim Mat Zin back in 2014, when he did this:

Reader: What… what the hell am I looking at here?

Oh, this was Raja Bomoh back in 2014, when he wielded coconuts and used bamboo binoculars to try and locate the missing MH370 flight.

Now, I bet you didn’t even know you could wield coconuts, did you? Aren’t you glad you clicked on this article?

Reader: Yeah sure

Well, the world thought Raja Bomoh would never be seen again, but we were wrong. He’s back, and this time, he’s going to save us from the Covid-19 virus.

In a 12-minute-long video that has gone viral on several social media sites, Raja Bomoh claims that he feels the responsibility as a Malaysian to help the nation combat Covid-19, after which he goes on to do some truly bizarre things.

He first calls upon bomohs all over the world to work together to “cure the coronavirus”.

Scientists must be kicking themselves – why did you spend months working so hard to develop a vaccine when you could have enlisted the help of some witch doctors?

He then waves some leaves which he calls “ancestral herbs” over the plastic globe, believing that he can cure the places affected with Covid-19 through the globe.

But there’s more.

He then “scans” the globe with a mini telescope that apparently belonged to his ancestors who were also bomohs.

And, because he was feeling rather generous that day, he then sprinkled a few kinds of rice on the globe in hopes that the Covid-19 pandemic, in his words, “would fly away”.

How nice of him.

To his credit, the bomoh also advised Malaysians to cooperate during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and reminded them to maintain good personal hygiene.

According to World of Buzz, he also encouraged the government to look after those who are not working as they will face difficulties making a living.

Yes, this bomoh is strange, but at least he cares.

Here’s the full video of the “healing”, if you’d like to be amazed.

In the meantime, until we find a vaccine for Covid-19, I’ll be sprinkling some pork floss on my box of face masks to speed things along.
