Man Unhappy After Masseuse He Allegedly Dated Refused to Return Him a “$15,000 Loan”

A man spent over $20,000 on a masseuse he allegedly dated. On top of that, he claims to have given her a loan of $15,000.

Now that she’s denying that he’s ever loaned her $15,000, he isn’t too pleased about it.

Man Spent Over $20,000 on Chinatown Masseuse He Allegedly Dated

A 60-year-old surnamed Wu shared that he first met the 42-year-old masseuse when he visited her massage parlour in Chinatown in 2019.

According to Shin Min Daily News, Wu frequented the parlour as her business wasn’t doing well then. He would visit her twice or thrice a week, spending thousands of dollars in a month to support her business.

Is this… what people call true love? I suppose this is what Gen Zs call “delulu” instead.

Well, at least it’s a better love story than Twilight.

Fast forward to 2020, the pair allegedly began an intimate relationship.

Of course, this came with the standard expenditure of a relationship. Wu gifted her a diamond ring, a necklace, and furniture for her new home.

Guess how much he claims to have spent in total.

Nearly $20,000.

I guess love truly knows no bounds lah.

Man Claims to Have “Loaned” Masseuse $15,000

However, not all good things last forever.

Thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak, the masseuse eventually returned to her hometown in China in 2021.

The two began a long-distance relationship—they kept in touch and often video-called each other.

Wah. Stronger than NS relationship sia.

However, since the masseuse was unemployed then, the man alleges that she often asked him for money, promising to repay him once she was employed in Singapore again.

So, Wu did.

Wu claims to have remitted nearly $15,000 in total to his alleged lover in the span of a year. Specifically, he sent smaller sums of money to her over several occasions—May, August, November 2021, and January and April 2021.

Logically, Wu treated this $15,000 as a loan since his lover promised to repay him. However, that was far from how the masseuse claims to have seen it.

After 18 months away from each other, the lovebirds were finally reunited when the masseuse returned to Singapore in September 2022.

Wu’s alleged lover began working as a masseuse again, but this time at a massage parlour in Ang Mo Kio.

Yet, what Wu did not know was that the masseuse was about to spring a surprise on him. In December 2022, the masseuse abruptly cut ties with Wu.

You can imagine how sudden this was for Wu. It’s like when your NS girlfriend stays with you throughout NS but breaks up with you the moment you’re out of NS—it’s a little strange.

Now, break up already, then the $15,000 loan, how?

According to Wu, when he requested the masseuse to repay him the money, she refused.

Instead, she replied: “People change”.

Top 10 anime betrayals right there. But that’s not all the masseuse had up her sleeve.

Subsequently, she lodged a police report against the 60-year-old and denied ever having loaned $15,000 from him.

Her version of accounts went a little more like this: Wu was pursuing her, and the pair were close, but she had never received $15,000 from him.

“He recently came to ask me for money, harassed me, told my boss I owed him money, and even left messages on my workplace’s Facebook page claiming that I owed money,” the masseuse added.

Of course, Wu’s version of events says otherwise.

So, whose account are you more convinced by? Do you think the masseuse owes Wu $15,000?
