About Buzz

Buzz is the third studio album by the 25-year-old singer-songwriter.

According to NIKI’s “About the artist” description on Spotify, Buzz encapsulates the feeling of a young woman, possessing hard-earned wisdom, who fearlessly charges towards her dreams – but can still afford to giggle when she trips up.

“The album is called Buzz because it signifies that something is about to happen,” NIKI wrote.

“The promise of something new, when it isn’t real yet, hangs rich and sweet in the air. That millisecond moment in time, suspended in vast suggestion, where there is every opportunity for a shift in trajectory. Small or seismic. You choose.”

Ten years ago, then 15-year-old NIKI won a contest to perform as the opening act for Taylor Swift’s The Red Tour in Jakarta.

I don’t know about you, but at 15, I was just calling friends on Discord and playing Among Us.

Well-known and Accomplished

NIKI was listed among Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2020 and appeared on the cover of Vogue Singapore’s “Pop” issue last year.

She has received global praise for her songwriting and musical abilities and is among the most popular female artists from Indonesia.

The last time Singapore saw NIKI was during her 2022-2023 Nicole World Tour.

The tour began on 8 September 2022 in Canada and concluded on 10 October 2023 in the Netherlands.

She performed in the US, Taiwan, Australia, and China, among other countries, and came to the lion city on 6 December 2022 and 15 September 2023.

The reason she came to Singapore on two dates nine months apart is that her performance on 15 September 2023 was for the Singapore Grand Prix 2023.

The Indonesian indie/R&B singer has made a name for herself in the music industry, and has shown to be a very promising artist.

With her next album about to be released in three months, fans are expecting big things from the 25-year-old.
