Yishun once again put on their iconic sport of Street MMA for the rest of Singapore to enjoy.
Fight Occurs Outside Northpoint City in Yishun
In an Instagram video allegedly taking place today (18 July) outside Yishun’s Northpoint City, two “fighters” got into it.
A man dressed in black went up against someone appearing to be in a foodpanda uniform.
The man in black advanced towards his opponents with his hands down by his side, which as we know, is the top defensive technique in martial arts.
The alleged foodpanda delivery rider constantly backed up along the footpath. He shoved his opponent and even threw a kick once.
The bout resembled that of a classic fighting game like Mortal Kombat, in that the fight seemed to only take place on a 2D plane.
Another man in black then walked into the shot, either trying to get past them or perhaps even stop the fight.
After the apparent delivery rider threw a wide punch at the air in front of him, the camera cut to a short while later where the third man was nowhere to be seen.
One can only conclude that he was obliterated by the sheer power of the attack. That or he made the smart move to not get involved.
Alleged Delivery Rider Takes Opponent Down Outside Northpoint
The second fight clip in the video showed the two slightly further down the footpath, still outside Northpoint City in Yishun.
The man in black was still walking directly at the retreating rider. It appeared as if this pattern would repeat until they had walked to Sentosa.
Suddenly, an interesting development happened when the alleged foodpanda rider lunged forward and took his opponent down.
At this exact time, a green bus showed up and completely blocked the action from view.
We can only assume what happened afterwards was so violent that the bus had to censor it.
The video, which showcased the calmest day in Yishun, left netizens amused yet disappointed by the ending.
One joked that the fight was why their food delivery hadn’t arrived yet.
Another compared the alleged foodpanda rider to “Kung Fu Panda”.
Others asked who won the fight after the video ended.
The real answer is neither. The police will win in the end.
Fighting in public is a crime under “affray“, punishable by jail time for up to a year, a maximum fine of S$5,000, or both.
This is what happened to two men who had a surprisingly high-level fight on board an MRT train. They got arrested after the transport tussle.
In 2023, police arrested a 13-year-old and a food delivery rider for affray after the former threw punches at the rider, who somehow ignored them.
Clearly, the real moral of the story in all these fights is not to challenge delivery riders. Their power level is too high.
