Literally every girl or even person’s worse nightmare are eyelashes dropping. No one wants to have a bald eye, period.
Which is why I felt very cautious and suspicious of this medieval-looking contraption that a lot of girls seem to love using to curl their eyelashes. If you haven’t already guessed, it’s called an eyelash curler.
Funnily enough, eyelash curlers are sold on the market from anything from $2 (at Daiso) or $30 for a Shu Uemura eyelash curler.
Although I doubt that the more expensive eyelash curlers will stop your eyelashes from being ripped out if you ever trip while using them…
Woman Accidentally Pulls Out All Her Eyelashes After Falling While Using Eyelash Curler
I’m shooketh. This was literally my biggest fear when I saw the metal contraption for the first time.
What if it wrenches out all my eyelashes?
What if I trip while using it and accidentally stab myself in the eye?
At least one girl has been a victim of the former, and boy the results were not pretty.
A girl from Bangkok, Thailand took to Facebook to share her harrowing experience with an evil eyelash curler. She was going about her day, dolling herself up with an eyelash curler when her hand “slipped” (how does that even happen) and all her eyelashes were ripped out.
Perhaps her elbow was on the table and it accidentally slipped and wrenched her eyelashes off? Who knows?
All I know is that it’s an evil, medieval device. Period.
This was the end result of her misadventure. Her eyelashes on her right eye are essentially gone.
And this device was the culprit. You can see that all her eyelashes were stuck to the eyelash curler and they still had mascara on them.
I can literally feel her pain. I’m not even sure what she can do about this other than wait for it to grow out again, since she wouldn’t even be able to put lash extensions. There are no lashes to extend!
And with that I conclude my episode of (not so) Final Destination, The Fall Of The Eyelashes.
Let’s hope that they grow back asap and she no longer has ‘accidents’ with her eyelash curler.
