It’s probably the dream of many to own their own place one day.
Most recently able to achieve that dream is Mediacorp actor, Ayden Sng who is enjoying his newly renovated bachelor pad.
Massive Renovations to Make His Dream Home
Since last year, the 28-year-old actor has been teasing bits of his renovation process. In a true ‘go big or go home’ moment, Sng did a total overhaul of the place to make his dream home.
After the renovations were completed, Sng finally managed to move into his new place during the Chinese New Year period this year.
Comes with a Personal Bar
A unique feature Sng included in his home is a personal bar.
And it’s not just a watered-down version of your typical bar. Filled with an array of drinks, it has classic wooden shelves and is fitted with a black countertop – giving you total bar feels.
Another sneak peak of his home shows a room that appears to follow a minimalist Japanese theme and has a sliding door. The room is well-lit which complements the light wood flooring.
Keeping It Real
While he seems to be embracing the bachelor life with all the beautiful furnishings, Sng also kept it real about the cost of getting his own place.
In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Choosing to get a place and to undergo massive renovation was something I had to deliberate on long and hard because of the crazy financial commitment (both one-off and long-term!)”
But that definitely didn’t deter him from continuing to do so and he has made plans to manage his finances going forward.
“This would involve cutting back on unnecessary expenditure and more importantly, ensuring that my income is invested to work harder for me and a better future,” he wrote.
Cat Lover
Ever the cat-lover, Sng made sure to accommodate space for his two felines.
In a photo taken when Radio DJ Dennis Chew paid him a visit, a cat climbing frame can be seen mounted to the wall in the back.
His two Bengal cats which serve as a huge source of comfort to him, seem to be settling in just fine as well.
“As simple as it sounds, staying at home and playing with my cats do wonders for me ever since I got them,” he said in an Instagram post.
Sng rose to fame after starring in Bryan Wong’s Channel U short film The Playbook, where he plays a Thai nightclub bartender. He has also starred in “Loving You” where he is paired up with Jessica Liu.
Safe to say, his hard work has paid off and given him a nice home.
