Every year, a bunch of young Singaporeans (my friends) look forward to this event.
An event where creativity in crafts, art, and food come together.
An event that I somehow always miss and my friends always say, “Eh you busy and never go Artbox again?”
Help.
Putting my mismanagement of time aside, Artbox is probably an event that many people would rush to for its unique display of well…arts in Singapore.
You can bet that this is going to be bigger and better.
Different Place, Same Pace
It’s happening really soon as well.
From 15 to 17 and 22 to 24 November, the renamed Artbox Singapore 2019: Eden will be held not at the Bayfront Area but at Singapore Turf Club (The Grounds @Kranji).
Take a look at their more luscious makeover.
You can see the garden of Eden theme they got going on here.
Do note that while it opens from 3 pm to 11 pm on all days, I highly suggest you go earlier because the crowd is insane.
And find out the directions from the link over here.
Of course, you’re probably wondering what there is to do there.
The tl;dr is basically: a lot.
Photo-Ops
If there’s one thing Artbox is known for, it’s for is extremely Insta-worthy locations.
Now imagine cranking this all the way up to an eleven.
Artbox is going to be transforming a 40-year-old container into a garden paradise that would surely give photographers visual pleasure.
It’s unfortunate we only get to see how it looks on the day itself but this teaser makes it all the more exciting!
They will even feature an 18m long structure coiled with vines and fruit, truly matching its garden theme.
Instagramers, get your cameras and friends at the ready.
Garden Of Creation
For the record, the whole place is 12000sqft.
Throughout the 2 weekends of Artbox’s run, there will be a series of arts and crafts sessions held in the aptly named Garden of Creation.
Activities such as 3D printing special accessories, temporary ink tattoos, and even a perfumery can all be found there!

It’s basically just a matter of having enough time to try them all.
So I suggest maybe heading down for all the days to try them.
Other activities include: leather crafting, watercolour workshop, gel printing on tote bags, woodworking jewellery, mini pottery painting and bookbinding.
Food And Drinks Everywhere
My personal favourite part.

No bias.
Artbox is basically just how you spell food heaven for some with a wide array of food and drinks across many countries and styles.
You’ll probably find something you haven’t tried before each time. That being said, let me introduce you to some of them coming.
Teabrary is a newly launched tea studio founded by Mediacorp host and actress, Vivian Lai.
Some of their drinks include:
- Ananas Tea (Premium Assam valley black tea with pineapple fruit jelly)
- Lemongrass Green Tea (Premium high mountain green tea blended with lemongrass, that’s cold-brewed for 8 hours to preserve the natural benefits of the special blend)
Visitors can look forward to mouthwatering fishball treats from Noodz Origins that offer a fresh take on traditional foods. I mean look at that mentaiko dish, man.

But of course, we can’t end this without showing a sweet treat.
Cream puffs are always amazing and Kazo delivers. They even have special flavours like Thai Tea and Mango cream puffs just for the event.
The only bad thing for all these guys would be the queues.
Art And Music Performances
Last on this menu but definitely not least.
What would an event like this be without the professional displays of music and art?
This is Kuala Lumpur’s very own Cloakwork, a graffiti artist that will be doing a live session for all viewers to enjoy.
If you look through his Instagram you really wouldn’t believe the skill on some of it.
And if you’re a fan of music, let me introduce you to the Jb Purida Duo Band.
Freaking amazing covers, I tell you.
The best part about all of this? These are merely sneak peeks of what you can experience at this year’s Artbox.
You can head over to their Instagram page and their main website to find out even more about what the event has to offer!
Maybe this year I’ll finally not miss it.
