Older brothers might get on your nerves for days on end with countless pranks and teasing words, but they also may just hold a heart of nothing but love for you inside.
It’s been a mundane couple of months for most of us especially with the pandemic raging outside and Singapore being thrown back into Heightened Alert.
So this boy, bless his heart, decided to do something special for his little sister who was spending her day at school and make her happy with a small surprise at the end of it.
Let’s just say it was as if the school grounds turned into Jurassic Park for a while.
Surprise, It’s A T-Rex
The mother of the pair of siblings took to Facebook to share a video of the surprise, which took place last week on 23 July.
In it, she showed photos of her son dressed in a T-rex suit, alongside a caption that said he wanted to surprise his little sister after school.
Mother and son then made their way down to the school and waited outside the gates.
Of course, not only would his sister be entertained by the costume, but her schoolmates were all equally excited to see a T-rex right outside their school.
The boy was swarmed with excited kids who wanted to have a mini meet-and-greet session with the dinosaur, with some mischievous ones even smacking the T-rex’s inflatable tail.
Many adults waiting for their children could also be seen looking at the costume in amusement.
After a while, the lady of the hour arrived – and ran down the steps to her family.
She called out for her “abang” excitedly before hugging him, as he did too with his tiny T-rex hands.
Awww, so sweet!
Walking Home Together Hand-in-Hand
The happy little girl held her brother’s hand as they walked home together, with their mother proudly showing off their sibling love.
As they climbed the overhead bridge together, she even looked out for where he was stepping to ensure his safety and waited patiently for him as the suit was likely to have affected his visibility.
Their mother shared that the boy wanted to entertain his little sister, so he dressed up.
Although he had to endure the heat in the costume on top of Singapore’s already humid weather, as long as his sister was happy, he could do so, she wrote.
“Siblings exist to annoy each other and also to create happiness, for life,” she closed the sweet video off with.
Sweet Siblings
According to an interview with 8World, the boy, Dzaqy is only 15 years old.
Their mother shared that he loves his eight-year-old sister Zafyra very much, and frequently finds ways to make her happy.
He wanted to fetch her from school to ensure her safety following the recent school-related incidents and thus ordered the costume online to surprise her further.
What a lovely family, with a roaring sense of humour to boot.
