A Facebook user by the name of Yen Heng Gee is appealing for witnesses after a fatal road accident that occurred at 8.52am on a Thursday morning along Alps Avenue.
The date of the incident was 26 December 2019.
Unfortunately, the accident had involved his 54-year-old sister who was knocked over by a minibus.
Brother Appeals For Witnesses To Sister’s Fatal Road Accident Along Alps Ave On 26 Dec 2019
According to Mr Yen’s post, the incident occurred along Alps Avenue in front of a bus stop near DHL Global Forwarding.
As she was attempting to cross the road as she had for the last 10 years when travelling to work, a minibus crashed into her head-on.
As a result, she suffered serious head injuries and passed way en route to the hospital.
“She was standing at the middle road divider line waiting to cross over the other side of the road. The same old way of going to work every other day for the last 10 years. A minibus presumably made a turn to the right from a small road onto Alps Avenue. It went straight into her and she suffered serious head injuries. Sadly she passed on while being conveyed to hospital.”
The most upsetting fact is that the impact was so severe that the windscreen of the minibus was shattered.
“I was furious to notice that the impact was so great that it caused a big dent and shattered the windscreen of the bus. You could see the picture which was contributed by her colleague.”
Looking For Witnesses
Mr Yen is now hoping that any witnesses will come forward to assist with the incident.
If you are in the possession of any camera footage that could help with the accident, do not hesitate to get in touch.
You can either reach him via his mobile phone number stated on his post which you can find here, or submit it to the Traffic Police.
We hope that Mr Yen and his family will be able to get closure.
