I’m sure we have heard of various horror stories when it comes to bringing your pet onboard a flight. From airlines violently handling pet containers to losing the pets altogether, it’s understandable that cats have a phobia of flying.
However, this is not the case for this particular dog.
In fact, this dog even gets to fly Business Class on Singapore Airlines.
Dog Allowed to Fly in SIA Business Class As The Plane is Almost Empty
Usually, when you’re bringing a pet on board, they’ll only be allowed in that enclosed space in a pet container or in the cargo area unless they are a service dog. However, this time the situation was a little different.
This lucky greyhound gets to travel alongside the other passengers on the plane due to the lack of passengers. Additionally, it also gets to enjoy the luxury of being seated in Business Class.
What a lucky dog.
In the Facebook post by Greyt Greys Rescue, Lewis, the greyhound, is one of the graduating cohorts that were lucky enough to enjoy the luxury of being in a Business Class seat in the air.
Greyt Greys Rescue is a charity in Australia that helps former racing greyhounds find homes and Lewis was one of their graduands.
The photos showed that Lewis was not only well-fed with various food items including a container of strawberry yoghurt, but it was allowed to cuddle with two soft toys as well. It was so comfortable that it even fell asleep in the extended seat.
Dog Celebrates Birthday on The Flight
Aside from making the seat its temporary home, Lewis also celebrated its birthday extravagantly in the air.
Served with a croissant and two cupcakes holding up the “Happy Birthday” sign, Lewis seemed delighted with the celebration. It was even given a birthday ribbon to bring home.
They Were Relocating to Italy
Relocating to Italy with Lewis, the owner decided to save up for this spacious Business Class seat that’s worth around S$5,000 from Australia to Italy.
Appreciative of the hardworking flight attendants, Lewis remained a good dog the entire journey. It did not whine nor have any accidents. In fact, Lewis was “crowned” the best-est of dogs they’ve ever had and that includes fully trained services dogs.
