For all you Ed Sheeran fans who missed out on the opportunity to snag a ticket for his mathematics inspired “+ – = ÷ x” Tour, I have fantastic news to share with you.
Ed Sheeran, a singer that needs no introduction, is gracing Singapore with an additional concert date.
Originally slated to perform exclusively at the National Stadium on 16 February, a show that has already sold out, he has now surprised us all with a unique twist.
Instead of simply adding another date at the same venue, as most artists tend to do, Ed Sheeran’s second concert will take place at the Capitol Theatre on the following day.
With a capacity of only 1,000 seats, the Capitol Theatre stands in stark contrast to the National Stadium’s massive 55,000 seating capacity.
This change in venue promises a much more intimate setting for the lucky attendees. This is why it’s called “An Evening with Ed Sheeran”.
What Awaits You at “An Evening with Ed Sheeran”
Both concerts are presented by AEG Presents Asia, in collaboration with KrisFlyer, a rewards programme from Singapore Airlines Group.
The British singer-songwriter promises a special evening with a curated setlist that will distinguish this show from his others. During the performance, Ed Sheeran will share personal insights into his musical journey, undoubtedly deepening the admiration his fans already have for his discography.
Accompanied by a live band, the Shape of You singer will grace the stage with songs like “Salt Water” and “End of Youth” from his “Subtract” album, along with other chart-topping hits.
You can expect an intimate and emotionally charged evening that has been described as “a symphony of strings and synths.”
All tickets are priced at $298 and will be available on Ticketmaster starting at 3pm on 12 January.
However, if you’re eager to secure your spot, consider becoming a KrisFlyer member for early access, which comes at no cost.
As of today, 5 January, KrisFlyer members can already redeem Cat 1 tickets through KrisFlyer Experiences. Unfortunately, all Cat 2 tickets on KrisFlyer experiences have already been redeemed.
Do take note that the tickets are only available in pairs for the KrisFlyer redemption. So if you were planning to go solo… you might want to find a concert buddy.
Additionally, standing areas are not assigned and will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can redeem up to 2 pairs of tickets. For those not considering pre-sale tickets, there’s always the chance to secure your spot, on 12 January.
