After reading the headline, you’re probably going nuts.
DramaMama85: Wait, FairPrice?! I go there all the time!
Yes, but-
DramaMama85: What were they selling?
Well, biscuits, but-
DramaMama85: OMG! I eat biscuits all the time! What did they remove them for? Were they infected with Covid-19?!
Well, they removed-
DramaMama85: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. MY ENTIRE FAMILY’S GONNA DIE, INCLUDING ME, THE HANDSOME-
CAN YOU SHUT THE HELL UP FOR A MOMENT?
DramaMama85: …

DramaMama85: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Urp.
Well, while the entire paragraph didn’t really happen at Goody Feed, I’m pretty sure there are some people who didn’t finish reading the headline (or the article) and shared it on social media with doom-and-gloom messages.
Don’t worry, you’re not going to boycott Fairprice after reading this article. Who knows, you might even become more of a fan for the well-known supermarket in Singapore.
FairPrice Removes An Entire Product Batch From Shelves After Customer Complains About Shortfall In A Few Packs
If you’re a purveyor connoisseur of FairPrice like our good friend Drama over there, you’ve probably seen this once or twice before.
Housebrand cream crackers.
Well, on 26 Mar, it was reported that FairPrice has removed an entire product batch of this cream crackers from their shelves.
A lady told STOMP that she had bought two packets of cream crackers from the outlet at Choa Chu Kang.
Nothing special, right?
That was what she thought too until she opened up the packets and realised that there were shortfalls.
While the pack indicated that it contains 10 satchets of cream crackers, each pack only has eight satchets.
And Those Weren’t Unique Packs
She took a picture of the packs and satchets and made her way back to the FairPrice outlet to feedback.
The supervisor on duty then told her she has to bring everything back to the outlet, including the wrapper.
The lady then bought another two packets of the same product and opened it up on the spot.
Sure enough, the two new packs only have eight satchets within as well.
“I bought two more packets on the spot. True enough, one of them contained only eight sachets. It was only then that the store was willing to make up for the shortfall.”
The lady added that this was the first time she had encountered such an issue even though she’s bought these cream crackers before.

Well, I don’t know about you, but a supermarket who’s willing to remove an entire batch of products just because of a shortfall is a trustworthy business indeed, no?
