Despite the bleak background of war, it seems like Ukrainians have no lack of humour and guts.
We’ve seen a Ukrainian man offer Russian soldiers a ride back to their home country after their tank ran out of fuel, but now another Ukrainian has taken it a step further – by towing away a Russian tank.
Putting His Tractor to Good Use
Recent footage showed a Ukrainian farmer putting his tractor to good use and not by ploughing his land. Instead, he used his tractor to tow what appeared to be a Russian tank.

The grainy seven-second video showed a person in civilian clothing running after the tank towed by a tractor.
Despite the low-quality video, the humour was surely top-quality. The comedic scene was coupled with a man’s laughter in the background, displaying how fellow Ukrainians found the farmer’s actions hilarious.
The tank in the video appeared to be a Russian MT-LB, a multi-purpose fully amphibious auxiliary armoured tracked vehicle from the Soviet-era introduced in the 1950’s.
Ukrainian MP Cracks Joke
Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko joked that the farmer stole the tank for scraps.
“A bit of humour before toughest talks: farmer steals tank. Scrap metal is very valuable in #Ukraine so people are very excited about all the money they can make by getting hold of enemy weapons #LoveUkraine,” Vasylenko tweeted.

Other netizens hopped on board the humour train, applauding the farmer for his actions.
One comment wrote, “this wins some kind of ‘most Ukrainian thing ever’ award” while another netizen referred to the tank and said, “now that is a souvenir”.
Other Tanks Being Towed
But it seems like there wasn’t just one farmer who had the same idea.
A longer video, which has since been viewed over six million times, also exists that showed what appeared to be another Russian tank being towed by a tractor.

Locals recording the video joked that the farmer stole the tank because metal is about to become expensive. They joked further that the tank would surely come in handy for a farmer.
Laughter can also be heard over the video recording, proving that in spite of the treacherous war situation, Ukrainians have not lost their sense of humour.
All over the Internet, netizens have been singing praises of Ukraine’s bravery and tenacity in the face of the Russian invasion. Without a doubt, the Ukrainians’ “gangster attitude” will serve them well in the ongoing war.
