It’s a pretty crappy time to be a Personal Mobility Device (PMD) user.
Even worse if you’re one who needs it for food delivery jobs.
If you have no idea what we’re talking about, then welcome to Earth and check out our article here.
But basically, PMDs are banned on footpaths.
Amidst all the complaint videos and negativity though, today we’d like to bring you a wholesome story involving a PMD rider.
PMD Rider Helps Taxi Uncle
Because we need to remember it’s not the PMDs that cause harm but the irresponsible riders.
Not this guy though.
According to Mothership, Facebook user Ah Sheng Good Boii posted about an incident where a GrabFood rider helped a taxi driver to change his wheels.
Hi People Of SingaporeYou vote to ban Pmd on footpath and make thing worse. Let me share a little story with youToday…

The post stated that a taxi driver ran a flat tire and needed help to fix it. Unfortunately, no one came to his aid.
Enter the passing GrabFood rider who was on the job.
In a classic good samaritan fashion, the GrabFood driver promised to come back after his delivery to help the man.
And I guess you could say he delivered on his promise.
The post was very well received too and as of this writing, garnered over 1900 likes, 1700 shares, and 453 comments.
Speaking Of Comments
Naturally, the comments section is where the most interesting things usually happen.
Many Facebook users took to the comments to applaud the kind deed.
Hard agree.
Mildly spicy comment but the intention is there.
Some people did bring up a point that the post missed, however; one kind deed from a PMD rider doesn’t mean they should be unbanned.
I definitely can see the point where these comments come from but I still think that applauding the deed is important.
The point of this, personally, is just to show there are PMD riders who do have a good reputation and not everyone is a reckless speeder.
Once again, a reminder that the machine does not make the person.
