For those who’ve been too drunk during this festive period to notice, CNY 2020 Singapore is in less than a month! And you know what that means?
Reader: Lots of ang baos?
Well, sure. But I was thinking of something slightly less materialistic.
Reader: All the free delicious food?
Again, you seem to be focusing on how much money you’ll be collecting and saving. For me, Chinese New Year is a time for families to come together, a time when we can truly spend some quality time with those who we love the mo-
Reader: Wait, your name doesn’t sound very Chinese. Do you even celebrate Chinese New Year?
Well, I don’t, no, but-
Reader: You’re just happy because you’re getting two holidays, aren’t you?
I’m deeply saddened that you’d think this little of me. *starts tearing*
Reader: Oh, I’m sorry
I’m also happy because there are a bazillion bazaars to look forward to next year.

Alright then. Here are four CNY 2020 Singapore bazaars you can look forward to.
1. Jurong West
Our list begins with a place far, far away from civilization – Jurong West. For decades, scientists have sent rovers to the island to search for signs of life but have found nothing except a few strange worms. That’s why it was such a shock to discover a bazaar in the tiny town.
According to the Facebook page Singapore Night Bazaar, the CNY 2020 Singapore fair at Jurong West will have clothes, ceramics, plants, and “dazzling CNY decoration items”.
Of course, no bazaar is complete without some tasty food and refreshing beverages. Munch on some juicy kebabs and spicy otahs, and wash it down with an ice-cold Thai Milk Tea.
Date: 23 December 2019 – 23 January 2020
Venue: Open areas in front Blk501 to Blk508 Jurong West St. 51
2. Chinatown
The second bazaar on our list is in Chinatown. It’d be weird not to have a CNY 2020 Singapore bazaar in Chinatown, wouldn’t it?
Need some Chinese New Year decorations? Well, Chinatown has a wide range for you to choose from.
And just like the Jurong West Bazaar, there’ll be beautiful ceramics and trendy clothes on sale.
And just like any pasar malam, you’ll find wallets, bags, belts, and even watches here.
Date: 26 December 2019 – 24 January 2020
Venue: Open space between People’s Park Complex and OG
MRT Station: Chinatown MRT Station Exit C
3. Bedok Central
Don’t fret, dear Easties, because the CNY bazaar is also coming to Bedok!
Guess what they have here?

Reader: Clothes, ceramics, and CNY decorations?
Uh.. yes, how’d you know that?
But they also have other items like plants and fresh fruits including durian!
Additionally, they have what appears to be a claw machine, in case you feel like parting with the money in your wallet.
And if you want some accessories and little knick-knacks, this bazaar has that too.

4. Bukit Batok
But this… this is the big one. The mother of all CNY 2020 Singapore bazaars. Fortunately for Goody Feed employees, it’s located at Bukit Batok!
This bazaar is a food lover’s paradise, with everything from Thai food to Japanese pizza.
And how can we forget our beloved Ramly burger?
With all that spicy food burning your salivating tongues, you’re going to need some cool drinks to put out that fire in your mouth.
Lucky for you, there’ll be Thai Iced Tea and Bubble Tea at the bazaar along with durian ice cream.
