Since a few weeks ago, we’ve been treated to rather ludicrous get-ups normal people adopted in an attempt to circumvent the whole Coronavirus panic.
But what happens when the exact same get-up’s attempted by someone in the public figure industry? Well, the headline “HK Actress Suits Up in ‘FBO’ During Flight to KL; Some Netizens Think It’s Too Much” is probably what happens.
Guess the cat’s out of the bag now.
HK Actress Suits Up in ‘FBO’ During Flight to KL
According to AsiaOne, Hong Kong actress Florence Kwok was on a flight to Kuala Lumpur yesterday (9 Feb), and shared a photo of herself wearing a face mask.
Which doesn’t exactly create potential headlines, until the actress followed up with a 16-second video of herself decked out in protective gear:
A mask, goggles, shower cap, rain poncho, gloves, and a portable fan that spews mist.
It’s one thing to witness ordinary civilians decked out in such thought-provoking attire… it’s quite another to witness a public figure garbed in the same wear.
Guess you could call it the ‘FBO’ of everyday life.
And Some Netizens Think It’s Too Much
After the actress’ revelation, Netizens took to the comments section in a flurry, eager to witness their favourite actress’ latest gimmick.
And while some were certainly sympathetic…
Translation: “Be careful.”
Others offered varying opinions on her latest get-up.
Translation: “Don’t come, we’re scared of you!”
Translation: “Is it real, or for a show?”
A Netizen also expressed interest in the kind of mask she’s using. In reply, the actress said, “KF94 Pink.”
And one asked the inevitable:
Translation: “How do you drink and use the washroom?
And she replied with the inevitable:
“I didn’t.”
Well, sacrifices were certainly in order.
Overprotective Gear
As mentioned earlier on, people have been resorting to rather ‘ridiculous’ methods in order to combat the Coronavirus outbreak.
And again, we would like to reiterate that unless you’re sick and/or stranded in a heavily-infected area, masks are not necessary and might even backfire.
Practice good hygiene standards, disinfect your hands periodically and avoid touching your face, and you should be just fine.
Also, bra cups are probably not the best masks to combat the virus outbreak. Practical or not.
