Available at medical halls in Malaysia, HSA reported that a man in his 50s developed abnormal blood cortisol levels after consuming the product for a long time.

He had purchased the medical product in Malaysia.

Cortisol is a steroid produced by your body’s adrenal glands. Abnormal blood cortisol levels can lead to weight issues, joint pains, diabetes or worse.

After HSA’s tests, they found chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine, and dexamethasone, a potent steroid in the product.

The steroid can only be obtained through a doctor’s prescription.

Users who use Tian Ma Tu Chung Seven Leave Ginseng and Perliere Mimi Pearl Cream are advised to see a doctor as soon as possible as these products contain potent steroids.

If you were to stop using them suddenly without medical supervision, it could result in strong steroid withdrawal symptoms.

HSA Working To Take Listings Down

The companies selling Perliere Mimi Pearl Cream and Impactra are told to stop selling the products.

HSA is also working with e-commerce website administrators to take listings of these products offline.

In Singapore, it’s illegal to sell complementary health products containing potent or illegal medicinal ingredients and banned substances.

Should anyone be found of doing so, you can be jailed up to three years, fined up to $100,000, or both.
