What do you think of when you hear of “IKEA“?
Other than their ready-to-assemble furniture, your first thought is most probably their famous Swedish meatballs. Everyone in Singapore has eaten them at least once in their lives.
Another no-brainer must-get has got to be the chicken wings. The popular dish is incredibly flavourful and juicy.
That unique spice blend is ooh-la-la.
It’s also not rocket science that Singaporeans enjoy two things: Shopping for home decorations and the latest launch.
Well, what if I tell you that there’s another promising newly launched item on the menu? Read on to find out what is it!
New Items on the Menu
For a limited time only, IKEA fans and foodies can indulge in the newly launched Fish and Chips with Nacho Cheese Sauce (S$7.90)
For seafood lovers, IKEA is also bringing back the Half Lobster with Laksa Spaghetti (S$16.50). It will be available from 12 July onwards.
Both items will only be up for grabs until 31 Aug 2021.
Where to get it
The new dishes are available for dine-in and takeaway at all IKEA restaurants.
Otherwise, customers can also choose to use the Click and Dabao food pick-up service at IKEA Tampines, Alexandra, and Jurong.
To order, customers would need to scan a QR code, follow the steps online and make payment.
Afterwards, an SMS will be sent when your order is ready for collection, which you can present at the counter to collect.
Wednesday Bundle Deal with FoodPanda
If you’re a couch potato who just wants to binge-watch Netflix in the comfort of your home, you may rejoice.
IKEA’s Swedish Food Market is now doing islandwide delivery on the FoodPanda app.
On selected Wednesdays in July, customers can even enjoy special bundle deals! These include their iconic food items like meatballs, lingonberry jam, and savoury sauce.
Suddenly, I’m craving some meatballs and chicken wings *coughs*.
IKEA’s Latest Outlet in JEM
Just two months ago, the Swedish furniture chain opened doors to its third outlet in JEM.
On its opening day on 29 April, snaking queues were seen outside which seemingly took up the entire area.
The JEM outlet spans across three floors, from level two to four.
It carries a variety of new interesting features, said to provide a more convenient and seamless shopping experience.
This includes:
- Shopping baskets with wheels
- Cashless check-outs
- Interactive play projections for the kids

What a score for the Westies.
