Man Allegedly Goes for Morning Walks at 6:30am With Sudden Repeated Screams That Disturb Residents

Imagine startling awake to anguished screams.

Waking up to another nightmare has never been more literal, has it?

Alarming Morning Screams

On Wednesday (26 Oct), a resident living near Block 146 Serangoon Avenue 1 took to the Complaint Singapore Facebook group to upload a video of a man who appears to be screaming as he takes a morning stroll.

Yes, it is as weird as it sounds.

Based on the original poster’s short description, the man has been screaming since 6:30am, for about 30 minutes straight.

In all three videos, his intermittent shouts are clearly picked up by the camera. The resident seems to be on the third floor at least.

The man is also seen lolling his head back and forth in an erratic and almost uncontrollable manner. His walking pace and pathing is consistent too.

Netizens’ Response

Netizens are understandably concerned about the man’s behaviour.

Some commenters have urged the poster to lodge a police report, since he is being a disturbance to the general public.

While most people are getting ready for the day or just waking up around 6:30am to 7am, no one appreciates this sort of wake-up call.

Other netizens, who have been paying close attention to his repetitive screams and odd movements, suspected that the man may have Tourette Syndrome.

Tourette Syndrome is a disorder that involves repetitive movements or wanted sounds (tics) that can’t be controlled.

For instance, some people with the syndrome may be prone to jerking their head or blinking rapidly.

Even Naruto’s “dattebayo” can be considered a type of verbal tic.

Since this is only one complaint about the man, it is unclear how frequent his symptoms manifest, or if it is just another way of crying for help.

Regardless, it would be great if he can get the help he needs.
