Chinese actress Nazha wore a black top and jeans to visit Beijing Universal Studios. As a celebrity, it’s a given that she was quickly recognised by fellow visitors who took pictures of her and uploaded them on social media.

However, an unexpected controversy arose: her pants and underwear design.

In this post, the netizen writes, “Nazha went to Beijing Universal Studios; she’s so slim and pretty! If I had this figure, I would be so happy that I’d smile in my sleep. However, are her pants and underwear designed like this deliberately? What do current designers think of this? I’m unable to appreciate this look.”

This became a hot post, garnering over three thousand comments. Many netizens started to label Nazha as “vulgar” or “indecent”, saying that she shouldn’t dress like this as a public figure.

However, many netizens support Nazha, saying she looks good in that outfit. One comment states, “As a girl, I think this is nice; if I had her waist, I would want to flaunt it too.”

This issue ended up blowing up and hit Weibo’s hot searches.

On her account, the actress posted a picture of her outfit with this caption:

“I don’t think there are any issues with my clothes. I want to tell everyone not to be afraid and wear anything. Happy May Day, dress up nicely and go to the festivals!”

Afterwards, many people started to support her, questioning why this was even a controversy.

It’s 2023, everyone. Are we seriously still policing others’ outfits?

She isn’t the first one to dress like this. Another actress, Qin Lan, was spotted wearing these jeans and had a similar controversy too.

Nazha was wearing Alexander Wang’s low-rise bikini jeans in denim, which cost almost USD 400. It is deliberately designed to be a faux two-piece of low-rise jeans and mid-rise bikini underwear.
