PM Lee Addressing the Nation Tomorrow (24 Mar) at 11am & It’s Definitely Good News

In early 2020, when PM Lee said that he was going to address the nations, toilet rolls magically vanished from supermarkets.

But now, two years later, PM Lee is now going to address the nation about the COVID-19 situation for the ninth time since the pandemic started, and last I know, toilet rolls are still plentiful in supermarkets.

According to PM Lee, he will be addressing the nation tomorrow (24 Mar) at 11am, and you can probably infer from his words that we might be easing more measures soon.

He said in a Facebook post, “Our COVID-19 situation has been improving, with the Omicron wave subsiding. Singaporeans are gradually learning to live with the virus.

“I will speak on our situation and next steps, in a live broadcast at 11 am tomorrow (24 March). You can watch it here on my Facebook Page or on Mediacorp channels.”

Last Address Was About Entering the New Normal

PM Lee last addressed the nation about the COVID-19 situation in October last year, when he spoke about our path to a new normal which will take about three to six months.

He said that by then, when the pressure has been eased off from our healthcare system, we can then ease our measures.

Well, it has been six months, and according to Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, there are still large number of admissions at the accident and emergency departments in recent days but they’re mostly not related to COVID-19.
