I’m sure you’ve seen angry customers at many restaurants. But have you ever seen one at McDonald’s? Probably not. That’s because the fast-food chain is something of a haven, a place where people receive serotonin in food form.
People who are depressed or stressed out in life immediately feel like a million bucks the moment the enter a McDonald’s outlet and get a whiff of those fragrant French fries.
However, as you know, humans can get impatient. And when someone is hungry at a McDonald’s, where your nose is assaulted by a host of wonderful smells, things can get ugly.
Customer Shouts At Hougang McDonald’s Staff To Change His Order
The police were called in to resolve a dispute that broke out at a McDonald’s outlet at Block 684 Hougang Avenue 8 on 30 Dec last year at about 11pm.
According to a Stomp contributor called Bernice, a man was shouting at the female manager about changing his order.
“The manager tried explaining to him that he cannot change his order as the food has already been prepared,” Bernice said.
So, he calmly accepted this and waited patiently at the side.
The man kept raising his voice until another manager came out and “told him to cool down”.
In a video of the incident, one of the managers asks the man to wait five minutes but the man shouts back: “Wait how long?”
“My mother is hungry!”
One wonders if his mother actually was there with him or if he sometimes refers to his stomach as Mother to get people to do things for him.
You can watch the video of the incident here.
Police called in
Thankfully, the men in blue soon arrived.
According to the Stomper, the hangry customer seemed so aggressive that the Stomper thought he was going to “beat up” the manager.
Speaking about the incident, a McDonald’s spokesman said that they are aware of the incident and that they are co-operating with the police.
“Our restaurant managers attempted to manage the situation calmly and had the police involved to assist in resolving the dispute.
“We are in contact with the police and will co-operate with them throughout the investigation.”
Now, I’m not exactly Mahatma Gandhi when I’m starving, but I certainly wouldn’t shout at managers or waiters just because my food hasn’t been served yet.
Plus, if there’s one person you don’t want to anger, it’s the person preparing your food. I can only imagine what fluids other than burger condiments were added to this grouchy man’s burger.
