Mother Threw Brochures, Receptionist Kicked Pram
You’ve probably already seen, or at least heard of the incident where a clinic receptionist kicked a pram that belonged to a mother and her son.
In the now-deleted TikTok video, the receptionist and mother were seen to be engaging in a violent, fierce argument. Ironically, the poor boy was probably the most mature person in the trio, as he relentlessly tried to break up the fight to no avail.
In a fit of anger, the receptionist was filmed kicking the pram beside the mother as well.
Before you pin all the blame on the receptionist, another video also surfaced, this time from the clinic’s security footage moment before the incident outside.
It showed the mother throwing several brochures at the receptionist, and knocking items off the counter before storming out. It is evident that the mother was also behaving aggressively, which prompted the receptionist’s response.
And if you were thinking that they were arguing about something major, we’re sorry to disappoint. The mother merely didn’t want a five-day medical certificate although she was diagnosed with acute respiratory infection, which was why the fight started.

Responding to TODAY, the police confirmed that “reports have been lodged and investigations are ongoing”. They did not reveal who made the reports, though it could be from both parties.
The clinic also said that the authorities are investigating the incident, and declined to comment further.
Clinic Placed Staff on LOA, Also Investigating Incident
In an earlier Facebook post on 19 April, the clinic announced that it has “reprimanded [its] staff for her actions and have since placed her on leave of absence”.
The next day, they posted another update, reminding the public about the Policy for Zero Tolerance Towards Abuse and Harassment that the Ministry of Health has put in place since February 2021.
Well, with their comments section being bombarded by concerned netizens and keyboard warriors alike, we can see where the clinic is coming from.
After all, one receptionist’s mistake doesn’t mean that everyone should go and leave one-star reviews on Facebook, despite never stepping foot into the clinic before. (And BTW, the clinic now has a 1.5 out of 5-star rating, with nearly all the reviews being about the incident.)
