7 New Cases Announced Today
There were 7 new case announced today, which leads to a total of 40 cases in Singapore now.
The first two patients are two Singaporeans aged 40 and 36. Both of them worked in Yong Thai Hang, a known cluster that has infected three other people. Both were identified as close contacts and tested positive on 7 and 8 February.
The third patient is a 64-year-old Singaporean taxi driver who currently has no links to any confirmed cases. He had no travel history to China too, so his source of infections is still unknown.
The fourth patient is a 38-year-old Singapore PR who was in the Grand Hyatt Singapore private business meeting. The fifth patient, a 51-year-old Singaporean, attended the same meeting as well.
The sixth patient is a 53-year-old Singaporean who works as a private-hire driver. Just like the taxi driver, he has no known links to any confirmed cases and had not been in China before.
The last patient is a 52-year-old Singaporean who stays in Choa Chu Kang, and there’s a possibility that she was involved in a new cluster in a church that has infected her and 4 other confirmed cases (2 of them with no known links until today).
