For some strange reason, toilet paper has emerged as one of humanity’s most prized possessions during the Covid-19 outbreak.
I mean, toilet paper suppliers recently had to ship 10 million rolls of toilet paper to Singapore just so we would be assured that our butts would be clean.
Everyone is now aware of the need for toilet paper, even an international toy store.
Toys’R’Us Provides Free Mystery Gift & It’s Allegedly a Roll of Toilet Paper
Everyone knows Toys“R”Us as a heaven for excitable children and a hell for frustrated parents.
So, when Facebook user Mike Tang ordered an archery set and indoor swimming pool float from the international toy retailer, he expected to get just that.
But Toys“R”Us included a little surprise for Tang; a mystery gift.
Could this be a Batmobile or a Lego Set?
Nope, it was something much more practical:
Yes, it was toilet paper, because you can’t exactly wipe your ass with Lego bricks, can you?
Reader: You can’t? My whole life has been a lie.
Tang was certainly amused, as he shared the strange gift with his friends in an online post today (15 April).
Here’s what the post says:
“Ordered some items from Toy U’rs online and was wondering what’s the surprise gift they giving me…?
Had a super good laugh!
Thanks ToyRus
Good one!”
Netizen response
Netizens were impressed with the odd gift, too.
One pointed out that Tang’s children may not find it as funny, however.
Now, while this was a cool move by Toys”R”Us, you shouldn’t start ordering random toys from the store hoping they’ll give you free toilet rolls.
This was just a one-off, as the company will probably keep the rest of the purchased toilet rolls for their own asses.
And who knows? Maybe now people will start giving toilet paper as holiday gifts instead of shirts and perfumes.
Steady Supply Of Toilet Paper Here
Now, I know that the minute you saw the words “toilet paper”, alarm bells started going off in your head and you ordered 15 stacks during the course of this article.
But the authorities and toilet paper suppliers have assured us that we will not run out of the butt-wiping paper.
One leading supplier, Asia Pulp and Paper (APP), said that the toilet paper supply here can be replenished quickly and there are no signs it will run out any time soon.
As previously mentioned, 10 million rolls are being shipped to Singapore during the circuit breaker period to meet the increased demand.
So, there’s really no need to hoard or buy excessive amounts of toilet paper; we have plenty.
Reader: You should have told me earlier, I already ordered 20 more stacks.
Why are you like this?
