We’re all waiting with bated breath for the light at the end of the tunnel, for the day when all, if not most, COVID-19 restrictions can finally be eased and we can be out and about again.
And when that happens, ComfortDelGro Group will have an app ready for you to book taxis, private buses and rent cars so you can travel to the ends of Singapore in celebration.
That’s right, the company will be launching an all-in-one mega mobile application by early next year to make it easier for you to access their wide range of services.
Here’s all that you need to know.
We Can Soon Book Taxi, Private Bus, Car Rental & Leasing Service on ComfortDelGro App from 2022
Customers will be able to use the app to book taxi, private bus, car rental and leasing services from the ComfortDelGro Group.
The app will also include functions that are currently available on the company’s Zig app. The Zig app allows functions such as planning journeys, making reservations at restaurants and even booking staycations.
To top it all off, other functions such as learner driver services and medical transport will also be included in the app in the future.
The launching of this new app is part of a reorganisation of ComfortDelGro’s business units under an ongoing strategic review.
As part of the reorganisation, the ComfortDelGro Taxi, ComfortDelGro Bus, ComfortDelGro Rent-a-Car and Zig units will fall under a new division called the Private Mobility Group (PMG).
This new division will be led by ComfortDelGro’s group chief risk and sustainability officer Jackson Chia, who will hold both positions until a replacement is found for his current role.
According to Mr Chia, pooling resources will allow the company to come up with mobility solutions consisting of various modes of transport for consumers.
“The intent is to cross-market CDG’s extensive range of transport solutions to enable convenience to the different communities that we serve,” he said.

17Y/O Teen Exploited Loophole in ComfortDelgro App, Cheating Them of Almost $2,600 Rides’ Worth
Have you heard of the 17-year-old boy who found a loophole in the ComfortDelgro app last year and exploited it, obtaining almost $2,600 worth of rides?
The boy had enough money in his account when he booked a ride through the app using the NETS Click payment method.
However, while waiting for his ride, he purchased some items at a convenience store and was left with insufficient funds in his account for the ride.
After he arrived at his destination, he checked his account and discovered that the amount payable for the ride was not deducted.
To confirm his theory, he ordered another ride using the same payment method and transferred the money out of his account after the ride was confirmed.
After realising that this method worked, he decided to book rides for others in this way and charge them a fee lower than the usual ComfortDelgro app, making commissions for himself.
The boy proceeded to order over 100 free rides for himself, his friends and his “clients” within one week.
These rides amounted to $2,598.60.
