31YO Man Videoed 2 Women in an Office Toilet, Spiked the Drink of a Woman & Tried to Molest Her; Sentenced to 14 Months Jail

It appears that the Peeping Tom trend is not ceasing anytime soon. In fact, if anything else, it only seems to have grown increasingly emboldened as acts steadily become more depraved in nature.

Case in point? This article.

31YO Man Videoed 2 Women in an Office Toilet, Spiked the Drink of a Woman & Tried to Molest Her; Sentenced to 14 Months Jail

According to AsiaOnea 31-year-old man has been sentenced to 14 months’ jail for taking illicit videos and spiking a colleague’s drink in an attempt to touch her inappropriately.

The offences reportedly occurred on 9 October 2019.

According to the news report, the woman had headed off to the office toilet at around 5:25 p.m., leaving her mug behind on the table.

The perpetrator then seized the opportunity to dump a combination of Anarex and water from a capsule tub into the cup.

Apparently, the capsule contained orphenadrine, a muscle relaxant that may cause dizziness and restlessness.

When the woman returned, she threw away the water in the mug and realised that there were blue particles in the interior.

They reportedly smelled like alcohol.

Suspicious, the woman went off to check the office’s closed-circuit television footage, where it was revealed that the man had spiked her drink.

She proceeded to call the police.

The Man’s Side Of The Story

Unfortunately, it was not a silent, albeit extremely controversial attempt to let the woman get some hard-earned rest.

Instead, it was one that reeked of ill intentions.

According to the man, he had hoped that the woman would consume the drink after everyone else has left the office.

In the event that she experienced a negative reaction such as dizziness, he would proceed to molest her while she was in a vulnerable state.

Apparently, such thoughts arose from prior viewing of the woman’s half-naked videos, which he had taken without her knowledge.

Between July and October 2019, the man had situated his phone in the toilet and recorded the woman. In total, 63 videos were found, with 61 pertaining to the woman and two featuring another colleague.

Sentencing

In mitigation, the man’s lawyer stated that his client had committed the crime “on the spur of the moment”.

He had also apparently procured Anarex without any prior ill-intention, and was instead prescribed by a doctor.

“He chanced upon the victim’s cup laying unattended and unfortunately acted unwisely,” added Mr Lim.

Other Instances

Lest you’re unaware, the National University of Singapore (NUS) had contended with a notorious string of peeping tom offences in recent years.

It all began with the infamous Monica Baey incident, wherein she was filmed by a peeping tom while she was showering in her hostel.

Since then, things have, for lack of a better phrase, gotten out of hand.

Molestation offences have also been on the rise, with numerous cases in the last year alone.

Apart from sexual abuse of stepchildren, perpetrators have also committed deeds against teenage girls, boys and foreign workers.
