Those who managed to land their hands on one of the “allegedly sold out at some supermarkets” nuggets will probably be happy for a couple of days before they have an earth-shattering realisation:
This… this is good… but this ain’t no McDonald’s! There’s no fries! No McSpicy! No Chili Sauce! No Curry Sauce!
Why even live?
We’re not quite there to a full recreation of McDonald’s yet, but I got some good news for you.
The guy who found the 98% McNuggets now found…
Fries Almost Same Ingredients As McDonald’s Fries
In his newest post, he wrote:
I really think this is McDonalds’ fries ?
After finding the McNuggets replacement, I set upon the quest to find the McDonalds’ fries replacement.
And this time round, I think this is the supplier to McDonalds’ fries. Just look at the ingredients.
Looking at the ingredient list, we can see “Potatoes, Vegetable Oil, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Dextrose”.
Compare this to McDonald’s (note that this is United States McDonald’s and not Singapore Mcdonald’s), which if you omit everything in brackets would give you “Potatoes, Vegetable oil, Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Salt”.
Which means that the proportion of ingredients aside, the only ingredient not in the brand of frozen fries is salt.
Continuing off his post:
99% Similarities To McDonald’s Fries
After doing a few taste tests and research, I’ve concluded that this brand, Farmland Premium ShoeString Fries has 99% similarities to MacDonalds, which is understandable because I doubt Macs will allow them to replicate the recipe 100%. They will most likely tweak the recipe by a bit so that they can sell to retail.
Everything about the fries resembles Macs, just look at the shape, the taste and the smell. Even the black spots.
The trick to getting the most optimal taste, is to deep fry with canola oil for 4 mins exactly to achieve the same consistency as Macs.
By now, I’m clapping at the meticulous details to get the McDonald’s fries right.
But here is the final nail in the coffin to seal the deal:
As a french fries aficionado, I approve this Farmland fries with 5/5 ? rating.
Prices
NTUC is selling them at $3.95 per 1kg pack.
Giant is selling them for $4.50 per 1kg pack.
If you love McDonalds’ fries, congrats.
Welcome to the Fatties Club.
I welcome you with flabby arms.
Do give this a try and let me know if you agree with me.
FYI, I’m not a disgruntled Macs staff.
I just really love my MacDonalds.
And just like last time, he reminded us not to hoard.
As always, don’t hoard ah.
Spread the love ❤️

Some Comments Disagree
A commenter said that McDonald’s are now using china fries since Farmland is too expensive. The commenter claimed that most of their suppliers were changed in the past decade.

Another said that McDonald’s use an industrial supplier that don’t supply to a consumer brand like Farmland. Although, the commenter also added that, even so, it makes no difference if it tastes the same.
The McNugget man replied and claimed that it’s the same industrial supplier as Farmland from his research, though they might have tweaked the recipe for consumers.
And since you’ve read this far, here’s another open secret that a lot of people have known for a very long time.
